On January 13, 2026, Ungweru Organisation distributed NUA 45 bean seeds and agricultural sprayers to the Farmers of Mtende community in Mzimba. The initiative aimed to empower local farmers to improve their harvests, support their families, and generate income, sparking great excitement among the community members.

One of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Loveness Hulo, expressed deep gratitude for the NUA 45 bean seeds given by Ungweru Organisation. She said that the seeds will enable the farmers including herself to earn income and support their families by paying school fees for their children, buy clothes as well as buying fertiliser to boost their crop production.
“My name is Loveness Hulo, from Mtende. Today, we have received bean seeds from Ungweru Organisation. We are very happy because from the seeds that we have received, we will be able to find income from it to support our families. We will be able to find school fees for our children and all sort of things such as clothes for our children, and fertiliser for cultivation. For this reason, we wish Ungweru Organisation to succeed in its endavours so that it continues to support us.”

On another hand, Michael Phiri, chairman of the Mtende Farmer Group, thanked Ungweru Organisation for providing bean seeds and sprayers. He also reflected on additional pigs and chickens that he once received from Ungweru as well. He explained that the seeds will lead to a good harvest, with part of the yield reserved for the next planting season, noting that initial land preparation is already completed. He highlighted that the support makes the Mtende community joyful and that Ungweru’s teachings are uniting families and the entire community towards prosperity.

The seeds that we have received will push us to have a good harvest, part of which will be used as seeds for the next season, of which the first phase of tilling has already been done. In addition to that, we have received pigs as well as chickens, and all these are part of what Ungweru Organisation taught us how to take care of.”
