Elifa Mtambalika, a determined young woman from Mzuzu, is stitching her way to a brighter future thanks to Ungweru Organization’s Tailoring, Fashion, and Design Program. The six-month vocational training has equipped her with essential skills, opening doors to new opportunities in the fashion industry.

“Before joining this program, I had no stable income and struggled to support myself,” Elifa shared. “Now, I can design and sew my own clothes, and even take orders from customers. This training has given me hope and a way to earn a living.”

Ungweru Organization’s initiative aims to empower individuals like Elifa by providing hands-on training in tailoring and fashion design. The program not only enhances employability but also fosters entrepreneurship, enabling graduates to start their own businesses.
