In this digital era, it is not only imperative but also rewarding to be digitally literate. With technology offering countless features and accessibility to everyone and making their lives easier, it is important to acquire the necessary skills to be able to operate such technology.
Ungweru Organisation, through its Skills Acquisition Unit also known as Lusekoro School of Computing, offers computer lessons through which students acquire digital skills which enable them to effectively navigate the digital landscape.
Since its founding in 1999 as a computer skills provider, those who have acquired computer skills at Ungweru Organisation have continued to attest as to how beneficial the skills learnt have been in their various endeavours which require digital skills. Amongst them is Father Msowoya.
Father Msowoya enrolled for computer lessons at Ungweru Organisation following his admission at the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS). In cognizance of the current era which is digital, he decided to learn how to operate a computer so that he doesn’t face problems once he goes to the university.

Upon enrolling for computer lessons at Ungweru Organisation, Father attests of a very rewarding learning experience he had throughout his lessons and beneficial it was. “The learning was very interactive. I benefitted a lot from this school. When I went to University, I was one of the people whom people would ask for assistance when it came to computer issues. This is because of what I learnt while at Ungweru Organisation”, said Father.
The skills learnt at Ungweru Organisation have been very instrumental for Father in his various endeavors which required digital skills. According to Father, the computer skills learnt at Ungweru Organisation have been very instrumental in easing transition to college education. “We have a module at the University named computer applications and with what I learnt at Ungweru Organisation, I could easily grab what the lecturer says”, said Father.
Father also shared that he doesn’t regret the decision to learn computer skills at Ungweru Organisation. “I’m proud of the certificate I got at Ungweru Organisation. I always tell my friends that I was at Ungweru. It was a step-forward. I am very happy to have a gotten a certificate at this place”, said Father.
Father concluded by encouraging others to come learn computer skills at Ungweru Organisation. “There are good tutors at Ungweru Organisation who can deliver every necessary concept in modules of Microsoft office packages and other relevant digital skills. I thus encourage people to come learn at Ungweru and witness how ungweru is nurturing students with computer skills relevant for navigating the current digital era.
