SELL PROGRAMME MALAWI REPORT (SEPTEMBER 2023)

In the month of September, the SELL team Malawi was involved in the following activities: –

SELL Conducts First Peace building Workshop

On the 08th to 10th September SELL conducted the first peace building stepdown workshop in Mzambazi community. The workshop followed four weeks after the peace building training, providing an opportunity for the trainees in community to facilitate and also be mentored. The SELL personnel accompanying in the community were Taonga and Leo.

SELL Overview Presentation with The Anglican Church

On the 9th of September 2023, the SELL programme Malawi was presented with an opportunity to present the SELL overview to the youth leaders of the Anglican Church.Two Resource Persons from Sell Programme Malawi Isaac and Tommy with the support of Tracy (a volunteer) were present for the overview which was hosted within the Ungweru Organisation compound. The youth leaders were excited with programme and highly looking forward to the opportunity to partner with Ungweru organisation in delivering the SELL programme to the young adults of the Anglican church.

Step down workshop in Nkhata-bay

Two Resource Persons from Sell Programme Malawi Isaac and Leo visited Nkhata-bay district for a step down workshop on peace building which was also a platform to mentor three SELL facilitators in Nkhata-bay. The workshop was conducted on the 23rd September 2023.

Workshops in Zolozolo, Katoto and Mchengautuwa Communities

On the 29th of September to 1st of October the SELL Programme Malawi visited Zolozozlo, Katoto and Mchengautuwa communities in Mzuzu city for workshops on the peace building unit. Taonga and Tommy were the two Resource Persons that represented Sell Programme Malawi at Katoto community, while Isaac was at Zolozolo community and Leo was at Mchengautuwa accompanied by Joackim.
