On Friday, November 14, 2025, the Ungweru Organisation’s Skills Acquisition Unit successfully hosted an impactful Life Choice Day Workshop for our ICT and Tailoring students.
The core aim of this initiative was simple yet profound: to give our young students a dedicated space to reflect, discuss, and strategize the critical steps and choices that define the journey of their lives. This workshop underscores Ungweru’s unwavering commitment to supporting young people in making informed, healthy, and purposeful decisions as they transition from training into professional life.
High Engagement and Reflective Learning
The workshop saw a fantastic turnout, with 41 enthusiastic students participating (25 females and 16 males). The day’s sessions, running from 8:00 AM to 11:45 AM, were designed to be highly interactive.
Facilitators guided students through engaging reflective exercises, group discussions, and interactive sessions focused on decision-Making Skills, Personal Responsibility and Future Planning. The atmosphere was electric and participatory. Students shared their personal experiences with great openness, asked thoughtful questions, and contributed insights that enriched the learning for everyone present. The high enthusiasm demonstrated that the content deeply resonated with the participants’ current life stages and future aspirations.
From Reflection to Community Action
Beyond the indoor sessions, the day concluded with a powerful demonstration of community spirit and responsibility.
Immediately following the workshop, all participating students and facilitators joined a Community Clean-Up Drive. Starting from the Ungweru Organisation and moving towards the Tahnet Filling Station, this activity reinforced key values like teamwork, environmental responsibility, and community service showing that life choices extend beyond personal goals to include civic duty.

The Life Choice Day Workshop was a resounding success, achieving its purpose of empowering our students with the necessary reflective tools for making meaningful life choices.
