Ungweru Organisation is pleased to announce that it has received official approval from the District Agriculture Extension Coordinating Committee (DAECC) to implement the “Increasing Income, Nutrition and Food Security Project” in Traditional Authority Chindi, Mzimba District.

The approval was granted on 31st July 2025, following a successful presentation of the project concept to district stakeholders. These included government representatives and civil society organizations implementing agriculture-related projects in Mzimba.

During the meeting, Ungweru’s Projects Officer, Mr. Kelvin Zimba, outlined the rationale behind the project, its expected outcomes, and its potential to address pressing community challenges related to income, nutrition, and food security.

Stakeholders welcomed the initiative with enthusiasm, expressing satisfaction with the project’s objectives and optimism about the positive impact it is expected to bring to the communities of TA Chindi.
