Yesterday, the 5th of September, was a special day for Ungweru Organisation as students displayed a mastery of ICT skills during their final presentations. The students, who are in the final days of their studies, presented various findings from their research and demonstrated their digital competency in various software packages more specifically in Microsoft office packages. The presentations were a portrayal that students had indeed acquired ICT skills as intended by the organization.
Sailesi Phiri, who was among the best presenters, had presented about Access which is a Microsoft office package. During his presentation, he demonstrated a high level of competence on how to use Access.
According to Sailesi, Access is a very important software in data management and records management. “With Access, one will be able to enter and sort data, and track records which are used in various departments”, said Sailesi.

Sailesi also highlighted the importance of Access towards employment. According to Sailesi, there are many jobs whose requirements include one to be skilled in Access.
“For instance, for one to work at the Malawi National Examinations Board, he/she will be required to be skilled in Access if the person is to enter and sort data of examination results”, said sailesi.
